Overview

Maya Wallet is a digital wallet payment method that allows customers to pay using the available balance in their Maya account. Customers authenticate with their Maya account and authorize payments through the Maya app or supported Maya payment experiences.

How Customers Pay with Maya Wallet

Customers can complete payments using their Maya Wallet balance through supported online and in-store payment experiences.

• For online purchases, customers may use Maya Login or scan the presented QR code using the Maya app, depending on the Maya product being used.
• For in-store purchases, customers use the Maya app to scan a merchant-presented QR code and authorize the payment.

The QR code used for Maya Wallet payments is QR Ph-compliant. Customers can scan and pay using any QR Ph-enabled banking or e-wallet app.

How Maya Processes Maya Wallet Payments

When a customer authorizes a Maya Wallet payment, Maya authenticates the customer, verifies the available wallet balance, and authorizes the transaction. If the payment is approved, the transaction is completed, and funds are settled to the merchant according to the applicable settlement schedule.

The available Maya Wallet payment experience depends on the Maya product being integrated.

Requirements

To accept Maya Wallet payments, you must:

• Have an active Maya merchant account with Maya Wallet acceptance enabled.
• Use a Maya product that supports Maya Wallet.

If Maya Wallet has not yet been enabled for your merchant account, contact your Maya representative.

Payment Flow

1. The customer selects Maya Wallet as the payment method.
2. The customer initiates the payment using the applicable Maya Wallet payment experience.
3. Maya authenticates the customer and validates the payment request.
4. Maya verifies the available wallet balance.
5. The customer authorizes the payment.
6. Maya returns the payment result to the applicable payment experience.
7. Approved transactions are settled to the merchant according to the applicable settlement schedule.
