Overview

GCash is a digital wallet payment method that allows customers to pay using their GCash account. Customers authenticate using the GCash app before authorizing the payment.

How Customers Pay with GCash

Customers can complete payments using their GCash account through supported online and in-store payment experiences.

• For online purchases, customers may be redirected to the GCash Login or presented with a QR code that can be scanned using the GCash app.
• For in-store purchases, customers use the GCash app to scan a merchant-presented QR code and authorize the payment.

How Maya Processes GCash Payments

When a customer authorizes a GCash payment, Maya securely sends the payment request to GCash for authentication and authorization. If the payment is approved, Maya returns the payment result to the checkout experience or payment terminal, and funds are settled to the merchant according to the applicable settlement schedule.

The available GCash payment experience depends on the Maya product being used.

Requirements

To accept GCash payments, you must:

• Have an active Maya merchant account with GCash acceptance enabled.
• Use a Maya payment product that supports GCash.

If GCash has not yet been enabled for your merchant account, contact your Maya representative.

Payment Flow

1. The customer selects GCash as the payment method.
2. The customer initiates the payment using the applicable GCash payment experience.
3. Maya sends the payment request to GCash for authentication and authorization.
4. The customer authorizes the payment in the GCash app.
5. GCash validates the transaction and returns the payment result to Maya.
6. Maya returns the payment result to the applicable payment experience.
7. Approved transactions are settled to the merchant according to the applicable settlement schedule.
