Possible Causes and Fixes
1. Malfunctioning Terminal Cable
Applicable to: PAX, SUNMI
- Try using a different cable:
- SUNMI: Type C
- PAX: Micro USB
2. Defective USB Port
Applicable to: PAX, SUNMI
- Try plugging the terminal into a different USB port on the POS device.
3. COM Port Not Detected (Windows Device Manager)
Applicable to: PAX, SUNMI
- If the terminal does not appear under Ports (COM & LPT):
- Check the USB cable and port.
- Confirm that the terminal driver is installed (PAX only).
4. Terminal Driver Not Installed
Applicable to: PAX

Install PAX Driver. For drivers, your Maya relationship manager should be able to provide you with the latest driver.

5. Incorrect COM Port Configuration

- Make sure the COM port number in the ECR app matches the detected port in Device Manager.
6. Baud Rate Mismatch

- Ensure the baud rate settings in the ECR app and POS system are the same.
7. Outdated Firmware or Maya Application
Applicable to: PAX, SUNMI
- Ensure the firmware and Maya app versions are up-to-date.
