Invoice FAQ

Email Invoicing

Is there any integration needed for Invoicing?

No. The onboarded merchant would only need access to the Maya Business Manager to create and send invoices to their customers.

Since there is no integration needed, do I still need API Keys?

No. The API Keys is ONLY needed should there be integration to our Checkout.
For Advanced users, they can generate and use API Keys to register their endpoints for Webhooks / Callback URLs.

How will I know if invoices have been paid?

You can log in to Maya Business Manager and see the “Invoices” Tab. If a success payment has been made, the invoice entry would be changed to “PAID”.
The merchant can also view the transactions under “Transactions List” Tab. The merchant can use the Invoice / Reference Number to search for the transaction.

Will the customer be unable to pay if an invoice is tagged as “Overdue”?

No, the customer would still be able to pay for the invoices. This is specifically for tagging purposes and for the merchant to be able to follow-through with the customer.

Can I repay using the same invoice link that was previously paid?

No. Once an invoice link is successfully paid, the link will be invalidated after 60 minutes. If the customer clicks on the ”PAID” Invoice (within this period), the customer would be redirected to the Transaction Status Page.

How long is the email invoice valid?

The email invoice can be accessed until it is paid.

Since the “Copy Link” is meant for sellers using Instant Messaging Apps, are the Customer Information still required?

Yes, these are current mandatory fields for our Invoicing Solution and the Copy Link is a feature enhancement.
These are the required information: Item, Unit Price, Quantity, Invoice Number, Transaction Date, First Name, Last Name.
Workaround: Required Information can placed with “-” except for Mobile # & Email Address.

There is a “FAILED” status in my Invoices Tab. What does this mean?

This means that the customer either a) abandoned the checkout / redirect page, b) payment transaction was not successfully authorized by his / her issuer.
The transaction details can be seen under the “Transaction List”.

Since only a link will be shared to the customer, how can the customers be guaranteed that this is not a Phishing or Spam Link?

The Link redirects the customer to Maya’s Secured Payment Page. It could be seen in the link that the domain used is “https://manager.paymaya.com/pay/<checkout-id>”.
It would be best to educate the merchants also that the link would redirect to a URL: “https://payments.maya.ph/v2/checkout?id=<checkout-id>".
Note that Maya is also a PCI-DSS Compliant and Certified company that is allowed to capture and process card information with the Card Schemes. Other than above domains / links, customers should ignore and report to the Merchant / Maya.
If there is any doubt with the customer, the merchant can still send out the invoice to the customer’s email address.
